Her eyes glimmered in the darkness
like stars in the sky and when I
reached for her hand the glimmer
started to die out. It was like the stars had
finally fallen and yet still, she looked
so peaceful; in a deep, catastrophic sleep
that she would never be woken from.
When she tried to burrow down
deep enough to understand her own
misfortune and anguish, she found
nothing but pebbles and fallen stars.
